The Arctic Advanced Heat Pump Controller
The Arctic Advanced Heat Pump Controller integrates completely with the Arctic Heat Pump. As soon as you turn the temperature down below the tub’s current temperature, the LCD display will switch and show “Chilling”. The Spa Pack then sends a signal to the heat pump to open its four way reversing valve and in minutes will be chilling the tub.
Automatic Mode – simply set it and forget it. If the weather turns too hot, your spa will always remain at the temperature you set it to. If you want to have an ice tub but don’t want your spa to freeze during cold season, the Northern Lights Polar Tubs system will add heat when needed to keep your tub from freezing and should the weather get suddenly warm, the system will start to chill.

What is a hybrid cold plunge tub and how does it work?
A hybrid cold plunge tub combines both hot-tub heating and cold-water chilling in the same unit. You can switch between warm soak and cold plunge using built-in heating and chilling systems. This dual function gives you the benefits of relaxation, recovery, and contrast therapy without needing two separate tubs.
Why choose a cold plunge tub with a chiller instead of an ice bath?
A cold plunge tub with a chiller maintains a consistent cold temperature without needing ice. That means no messy ice loading, no temperature fluctuations, and more hygienic water thanks to filtration and circulation systems. It’s more convenient and reliable, especially for regular use.
What benefits does a hot and cold tub system provide?
A hot and cold tub system lets you alternate between heat and cold therapy to boost circulation, reduce muscle soreness, and speed up recovery after workouts or long days. Warm water relaxes muscles and relieves stress while cold water reduces inflammation and refreshes the body.
Are hybrid tubs better than standalone cold plunge tubs or hot tubs?
Hybrid tubs offer more flexibility because they serve both hot-soak and cold-plunge needs. If you want the therapeutic benefits of cold therapy and the comfort of a hot tub without buying two products, a hybrid system is more efficient and space-saving. It’s a good investment for varied wellness routines.
What should I expect from the best cold plunge tubs for home use?
The best cold plunge tubs keep water at a stable temperature, have good insulation, work with efficient chillers, and offer filtration to keep water clean. They should be easy to operate and suitable for indoor or outdoor installation. Comfort, convenience, and reliability matter most.
How often can I use a hybrid hot and cold tub system safely?
You can use a hybrid hot and cold tub system several times per week, depending on your health, tolerance, and how you alternate hot and cold sessions. Many people use hot soaks for relaxation and cold plunges after workouts for recovery. Start slow and listen to your body.
